Insurance and Payment
Insurance Reimbursement
At this time in the state of California, naturopathic doctors cannot contract as an in-network provider within any insurance plan. However, if a patient’s insurance plan offers reimbursement for services provided by out-of-network providers like naturopathic doctors, the patient may submit a claim to that insurer to request reimbursement. As a courtesy, we can provide patients with a superbill after an appointment that they can submit to their insurer for reimbursement.
Please note: It is the patient’s responsibility to know his or her plan benefits. Optimal Health Center cannot be responsible for determining or assisting a patient with collecting insurance benefits.
Payment Timeline
Payment is due in full at the time of service unless an alternative is agreed upon in advance. Patients are responsible for charges incurred for all treatment rendered, including services their insurer may determine to be unreasonable or not medically necessary.
Accepted Methods of Payment
Optimal Health Center accepts all major US credit/debit cards, cash, and checks as payment. This includes any health savings account (HSA) card containing a Visa or MasterCard logo. Optimal Health Center cannot currently accept the Care Credit program as payment.
