Doctor Shannon Sinsheimer

Shannon Sinsheimer, ND, is a California state-licensed naturopathic doctor. Doctor Sinsheimer founded and has been Medical Director of Optimal Health Center in Palm Desert, California for the past 14 years.

Doctor Sinsheimer opened the first naturopathic clinic to serve the Coachella Valley, providing high quality integrative services with a renowned reputation for integrity, dedication to service, and quality healthcare.

Doctor Sinsheimer earned her medical doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, the oldest accredited naturopathic medical college in North America. During her education and training at NCNM, Doctor Sinsheimer completed advanced coursework and clinical training at the Homeopathic Medical College in Mumbai, India. At Oregon Health and Science University’s Mind Research Center (ORCCAMIND), Doctor Sinsheimer assisted in clinical trials regarding the efficacy of naturopathic treatment protocol for patients diagnosed with neurological conditions. She also completed a one-year internship at the Center for Natural Medicine specializing in cardio-pulmonary wellness and endocrine disorders.

Doctor Sinsheimer served as a production coordinator for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) documentary series, Discoveries in Alternative Medicine: Naturopathic Physicians, presented by the American Health Journal. In her own practice, Doctor Sinsheimer focuses her treatment plans on creating a path toward optimal wellness for each patient.
